About the artist:
Alexander Hacke was born in the proletarian district of Berlin Neukölln and aside from playing in numerous influential underground-groups, writing, recording, releasing and performing music under the pseudonym Alexander von Borsig, he joined Einstürzende Neubauten in 1980 at the tender age of 14.
All throughout the eighties and up to the present he does not only collaborate with countless artists of various genres but continues to produce records and scores music for theater, feature and documentary movies.

László Zsolt Bordos (also known as Bordos.ArtWorks) is a 3d artist living in Budapest, Hungary. In 2000 he started as a VJ, performing in the underground party culture of Budapest. With his early 3d-vjing (2001-2004), his participation to huge size architectural slide projections (2002-2005) and his outrageous video projections and 3d mapping projects (2006-2007), he became a pioneer of the genre.
Cooperating with other artists since 2010, he started to run the projects under the name 'Bordos.ArtWorks and Invited Artists', which became internationally recognised as eminent representatives of video projection mapping.
Since 2014 Bordos is focusing again on solo art projects, installations and scenery projections for theaters and operas.

Die amerikanische Künstlerin Danielle de Picciotto ist 1987 nach Berlin gezogen. Jahrzehntelang hat sie den Umbruch und die Evolution des Undergrounds in der Stadt von Post-Punk über Techno bis zu der gemischten Experimentierfreudigkeit von heute hautnah erlebt. De Picciotto war dabei, als die Love Parade sowie berühmt-berüchtigte Clubs wie Tresor und E-Werk entstanden. Aus ihren persönlichen Erfahrungen weiß sie, wie Berlin sich damals angefühlt hat und wie die gesellschaftlichen Entwicklungen die Stadt und ihre Bewohner über die Jahre beeinflusst und verändert haben.
Born in Tacoma, Washington USA, has been living in Berlin Germany since 1987. Studied music & art in NYC/Germany. Works as Gesamtkünstlerin/interdisciplinary artist since 1990 in the fields of art/film/ music/literature/performance. Co-founder of Berlin “Loveparade” ; projects with German Cultural Goethe Institute in Hong Kong, Milan, Rome, Tokyo, Prague, Sarajevo and Mexico City since 2000. In 2009 the German Foreign Ministry in Berlin commissions Danielle de Picciotto to direct/produce a 10-minute art movie. The eye is the mirror of the soul. All of our souls are connected in an invisible net of interaction and we blink at each other from afar, much more connected than we imagine. Helga Griffiths is a German based Multi-Sense-Artist working at the intersection of science and art. From 1986 to 1992 she lived in the New York area. She has a BFA Degree from Mason Gross School of the Arts/Rutgers University (1991). From 1992 – 1994 she completed her Postgraduate Studies at Kunstakademie Stuttgart in Germany. In 1994 she continued with further studies in New Media at Hochschule für Gestaltung, Karlsuhe. She received several awards such as the First Prize at “Kunst auf Zeit” in Graz, Honorable Mention“, Paper Biennial in Düren and “Lichtenberg”-Award in Darmstadt (all in 1998), Prize “Lightroutes”- festival in Lüdenscheid in 2003. Her work is in permanent collections such at the TBA TV Station in Tokyo, Deutsches Hygienemuseum Dresden, Leopold-Hoesch-Museum Düren, and Gilleleje, Denmark. She has exhibited in several biennials/triennials such as Cairo Biennial, Echigo Tsumari Art Triennial in Japan, Havanna Biennial, Seoul Media Art Biennial. She will be showing at the next Curitiba Biennial, Brazil in 2015. Her work has been shown in international museum exhibitions e.g., Palais de Tokyo, Paris, Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, Oslo, ZKM Karlsruhe, Nevada Museum of Art. "Neural Reflections"

This videoanimation is a reflection on perception itself, on imagination and consciousness. Neural Reflection is inspired by cognitive processes (memory, perception, sensation) and the floating, pulsating images reveal the instability and fragility of our perception of time and space. The work, which is based on tomographic images of the artist’s own brain, shows a surrealistic flight over the semi-transparent, reflective surface of the brain. The motion over the landscape of the brain is juxtaposed with images of nerve cells. It reveals internal as well as external features to enable new perspectives on perception. It also relates to the observer’s own neural processes, since his or her own brain is reacting and changing at the very moment of watching the video animation. New synapses and connections are constantly being created from what is perceived on a conscious or unconscious level. The video „Neural Reflection“ is a research tool – it makes us aware of the centre of our own thinking and seeing processes. It allows us to reflect on our "perceiving and interpreting" machine – and also on our perception of fluctuating/pulsating truth and reality.

Lüers Arbeit zeigt eine große Vielfalt an Medien und Themen - dies kann eine Galerie-Installation sein, ein Stadtraumprojekt oder auch eine künstlerische Reflexion auf Textbasis. Die Entscheidung über die Form und den Inhalt jeder einzelnen Arbeit ist abhängig von der Logik der Arbeit selbst und dem Kontext, in dem sie präsentiert wird. Damit kann Lüers Arbeit eher als situationsspezifisch, denn ortsspezifisch bezeichnet werden.
Lüers work offers a rich variety of mediums and topics - it can be a gallery installation,a project based in urban environment, or an artistic reflection on text basis. The choice of form and content in each artwork is dependent upon the logic of the work itself and the context in which it is presented. Therefore Lüers work can be referred to as situationally specific rather than location specific.
"Single Channel"

A numbers station is a type of shortwave radio station characterized by unusual broadcasts, reading out lists of numbers. According to the notes of The Conet Project, which has compiled recordings of these transmissions, numbers stations have been reported since World War I. If accurate, this would count numbers stations among the earliest radio broadcasts.
It has long been speculated, and was argued in court in one case, that these stations operate as a simple and foolproof method for government agencies to communicate with spies working undercover.
According to this theory, the messages are encrypted with a one-time pad, to avoid any risk of decryption by the enemy. As evidence, numbers stations have changed details of their broadcasts or produced special, nonscheduled broadcasts coincident with extraordinary political events.
A horizontal pattern or ornament becomes visible in the projection,
which consists or a concatenation of the digital eight within a format
of 16:9. Following the example of the real numbers stations, a number between "0" and "9" appears in short order and seemingly at random within a number group of five digits. This specific number group will be repeated three times in a row, before moving to its next variation.
The work "single channel" relies on a projection in public space, which Conceptually replaces the public medium radio. (Alternatively possible as an "interruption" within a video program) The pedestrians become aware of an attraction, which seemingly does not disclose its background or meaning. The viewer experiences the unpredictability and arbitrariness, as well as the failure to grasp a familiar regularity within those random patterns.

Der in Berlin lebende Künstler Robert Seidel transformiert in seinen Filmen nicht nur Zeichnungen in bewegte Malerei und Skulpturen, sondern auch seine Projektionsflächen bergen intermediales Potential. Seine Form- und Bewegungsästhetik orientiert sich am infiniten Detail der Natur, bildet dabei
aber ein geschlossenes, nicht-naturalistisches Erinnerungsuniversum. So schöpft seine Bilderwelt neben Zeichnungsfragmenten und 3D-Modellen auch aus der wissenschaftlichen Visualisierung.
Seine Arbeiten werden weltweit sowohl im musealen Kontext als auch auf zahlreichen Festivals sowie in Galerien, Magazinen, Büchern und TV-Sendungen gezeigt. Sie wurden mehrfach ausgezeichnet, etwa mit dem Ehrenpreis der KunstFilmBiennale.
Robert Seidel began his studies in biology before transferring to the Bauhaus University Weimar to complete his degree in media design. His projections, installations and experimental films have been shown in numerous international festivals, as well as at galleries and museums such as the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp, ZKM Karlsruhe, LACMA Los Angeles, Art Center Nabi Seoul, Museum of Image and Sound São Paulo and MOCA Taipei.
His works have been honoured with various prizes, including the KunstFilmBiennale Cologne Honorary Award and Prize for Best Experimental Film at the Ottawa International Animation Festival.
In his work Seidel is interested in pushing the boundaries of abstracted beauty through cinematographic approaches, as well as ones drawn from science. By the organic interplay of various structural, spatial and temporal concepts, he creates a continuously evolving complexity. Out of this multifaceted perspective emerges a narrative skeleton, through which viewers connects to the artwork on an evolutionary-derived and phylogenetic-fixated symbolic level. Seidel lives and works in Berlin and Jena as artist, filmmaker and curator.

"urban particle supercollider"
This video installation is based on three photo collections of street images from Seoul and Tehran and New York City, originally invited as a Flickr group. Urban particle supercollider links these cities (and their local participants) through street images: Seoul, Tehran, and New York City are composed out of various street objects from their neighborhoods -ranging from torn newspaper fragments to fast-food stands- resulting in a catalogue of images repleat with personal and cultural significance. In this installation, the selected items were virtually rebuilt as 3D objects, “colliding” in five theme clouds.
